Better known as Rob, I am the owner and manager of Pandasam. I started this business when I felt that there was a need to help people in South Africa afford to have web sites that are professional looking and properly maintained. I guess we all got tired of high development costs, so South African related information on the internet got untidy, outdated and useless. I hoped to contribute in some small way to rectifying this by lowering entry costs, but not compromising on quality.

Education
Matriculated, did army service then completed a B.Sc degree (mathematics and computer science with distinction) at Rhodes University. Later did MBA at Wits University.

Experience
Involved in the IT industry since the early days (over 35 years now). Started as a computer operator with Barclays Bank, then moved to systems engineering with a large computer manufacturer. Spent time in USA and Holland. Started one of the first PC businesses in South Africa with Apple computers. Founded Aldo Systems in Johannesburg. Moved to Cape Town as General Manager of an accounting software company and then appointed as regional director for Ernst & Young. MD of SoftBuild, a software company part of a large listed group. Appointed Regional Manager of the Western Cape for a large parastatal group. Moved into payment switching as IT Manager for a Pick 'n Pay company. Part of management breakaway to form an independent switching company that was bought out by a large listed IT group. Then founded Pandasam.
